What’s next?
1
Examine
Our pharmacist thoroughly reviews the information to confirm the accuracy of the medication, strength, dose, and usage instructions.
2
We create your formula
The key attribute of compounded medicine lies in its customization to meet the precise needs of each patient. Our pharmacist formulates a tailored recipe in this step, considering individual requirements such as allergies, sensitivities, flavor preferences, and preferred forms.
3
Double check
The pharmacist reexamines the formula, conducting a thorough review to confirm the accuracy of all calculations made during the compounding process. This additional check ensures precision and quality control, providing an extra layer of assurance in preparing your compounded medication.
4
Your medicine gets made
After the formulation is prepared and verified, it is handed over to a pharmacy technician. Following the formula like a recipe, they employ precise compounding techniques, utilizing advanced machinery for accurate preparation. To ensure accuracy, a pharmacist conducts a thorough check to confirm the technician's use of the correct chemicals, capsules, and delivery devices.
5
Final inspection
The last inspection, conducted by the pharmacist, ensures the appropriateness of the medication, its strength, dosage, and directions. They verify the prescription label's accuracy and check the technician's printed weights. The pharmacist's final responsibility is to ensure the medicine meets the standard of being "pharmaceutically elegant," meaning it is free from issues like separation, clumps, discoloration, or graininess. Once the medicine passes these inspections, it is ready for the patient.
6
